Glass by Sædis

Creating and sculpting has always been my greatest inspiration, but making art from glass was not something I anticipated – yet I’m doing just that. Some call it therapy, some call it the joy of creativity, and some say it’s coincidence. One thing is certain: standing in my basement, breaking glass and putting it back together, piece by piece, is a good way of explaining my life of the past few years.

A broken bowl will never be the same again, but it will become a bowl again – and that is precisely the point: becoming whole again – or nearly whole. That’s as much as I need.
