Tróndur’s Day
Tróndur’s Day (referring to the Viking chief Tróndur from Gøtu) is a festive day in Norðragøta. Stalls are set up to display home-made products, the Blásastova Museum is open for visits, and live music and speeches take place to mark the occasion.
In Per’s House you can purchase coffee and waffles, while Glyvrahanusarhús hosts an arts exhibition.
The site of the day’s celebrations is the old Norðragøta settlement, where the Viking chief Tróndur í Gøtu most probably trod the grass a thousand years ago.
