The Old Church of Gøta

The old Church of Gøta is a beautiful church built in 1833, entirely from timber. The church is situated in Norðragøta. Churches have stood on this very spot since at least the early 18th century.

Seating only 150 people, the church inevitably became too small, leading to the building of the new church in Gøtugjógv.
